How do I choose Soft or Firm?
Some people want to feel cuddled in their bed, while others love a wonderfully solid surface underneath them. Here’s how to choose between our two feels:
Choose Soft if you like sleeping IN your bed; it feels cozy and more enveloping.
Choose Firm if you like sleeping ON your bed; it feels supportive and more substantial.

Is Cocoon™ available in retail stores?
Cocoon™ is only sold direct from us, and is currently not in retail stores. If you’re concerned about “trying it out,” read about our Unbeatable Return Policy.
What are the dimensions and weight for the mattress and the box it arrives in?
Your Cocoon™ uses standard UK mattress sizing, and the weights vary by size.
We designed the Cocoon™ box to easily fit through a standard doorframe, and it is designed to be capable of handling by one person.

Can I pay monthly?
We’re working on this and should have a new payment method available early 2017. Our sister uk.tempur.com site, already offer this.
Shipping and Delivery
How does my new mattress arrive?
When it arrives at your door, your mattress is compressed in a plastic sleeve and rolled into a small(ish) box. We include unpacking instructions in the box (hint: they’re very simple).
How long does it take to receive my mattress after I order it?
Typically, your Cocoon™ will arrive in 3 to 5 days using the UPS Standard delivery option.
Do I pay for delivery?
Our pricing includes free delivery using UPS Standard service.
Do I have to be at home for delivery?
The UPS driver will need a signature on delivery from a person 18 years or older.
If you miss your first delivery attempt, the driver will leave a delivery card detailing information that will allow you to arrange later delivery. If you want to redirect the delivery (or leave instructions for it to be delivered at a specific time) then you can let UPS know using UPS web tracking. If you have any trouble then contact our Customer Service on 0800 011 9555 who will be able to help you.
- What if I need to change the delivery address after I placed my order?

Can I clean or wash the cover?
Yes, the mattress cover is removable and you can wash at 30°C
Does my mattress have a break-in period?
We recommend that you wait 72 hours before your mattress has returned to its normal state following transit, during this period, any minor creases in the cover will recover. It can sometimes take a while to get used to your new mattress, especially if your old mattress was worn. But of course you can contact Customer Service for any advice on 0800 011 9555.
What kind of sheets will fit my mattress?
You can use any sheet set designed to fit a 25cm high mattress. For the bottom sheet, a fitted sheet with strong elastic fitted works best.
Can I use a mattress protector with my mattress?
Yes, you can and we recommend that you do.
Can I use a heating pad?
Yes, you can.
How much weight can it hold?
Your Cocoon™ mattress can support up to 225kg (35 stone).
Do you sell the bed furniture pictured on your site?
Sorry, no we don’t. Some of the photos and videos were taken in owner’s homes and some were shot on a professional set — but in either case, at this time, we don’t sell the furniture. Please keep checking back as we develop new products and ranges.
Building Your Mattress
What’s in my mattress?
Your Cocoon™ consists of two basic parts: a Comfort Layer on top and the Base Support System underneath that. Surrounding them both is our Premium Fabric Cover
- The Premium Fabric Cover is both breathable and durable, with stretch-knit construction so you experience the “cushion” of the top layer.
- The Comfort Layer uses our Perfect Fit Memory Foam, a high-quality, higher-density foam that cradles you.
- The Base Support System uses our Essential Support Foam, a heavier, more robust foam that’s engineered to be highly durable and resilient. We use Reinforced Essential Support Foam for our Firm Cocoon™ mattress, and Flexible Essential Support Foam for our Soft Cocoon™ mattress.
- Does it transfer movement from my sleep partner?
Does the new mattress smell?
When your Cocoon™ arrives, there could be a slight smell. Think of this like the smell in your new car, it’s the result of the cells in the foam opening. The most important thing to know is that the smell will disappear — typically during the first week. We recommend that you air your bedroom during this period. Just as important to know: the smell is normal and short-lived.
Exchanges and Returns
How do I return my mattress?
If you’re unhappy with your Cocoon™, contact the Cocoon Customer Service. We’ll work with you to exchange or return your mattress. We work with partners such as the British Heart Foundation to minimise waste & issue your refund once we have received your mattress in a good condition, we can issue your refund.
How long does it take to receive my refund?
Once we confirm the return, we’ll issue a refund within 1 to 2 business days. It can take up to 30 days for a refund to appear back in your account, depending on who you bank with.
Do I have to ship it back in its original box if I decide to return it?
No. We wouldn’t ask you to do that (it’s probably nearly impossible!). We have partnered with the British Heart Foundation to help return your mattress. Customer Service will make arrangements for any return when you call them.
How long is the warranty on my mattress?
Your Cocoon™ includes a 10 Year Limited Warranty.
Does the warranty cover defective mattresses?
Yes, it does.
What if the mattress starts showing dips and body impressions?
First, rest assured that it’s unlikely to happen — we’ve tested the foam extensively, and it’s proven that it can hold up for years of use. However, if it does happen, any indentations 1” or deeper are covered by the 10 Year Limited Warranty.
Has Cocoon™ been product tested?
Yes, Cocoon has been tested according to EN-1957 with 30.00 cycles at 40 cycles/minute
